cannot access phpmyadmin

i have phpmyadmin problem.
wamp icon is green, when i type localhost in my browser it works just fine, but when i click on the phpmyadmin it shows me this message:

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)
yesterday, phpmyadmin worked just fine, i created several databases, it was all OK.
meanwhile, windows update installed, and today phpmyadmin shows me that message.
my configuration is:
Dell inspiron N5110, 8GB RAM, Intel core i7, windows 7 64bit
