Forbidden to open phpmyadmin

I have just reloaded Wamp after a crash and now found that my access to phpmyadmin is blocked by a message started with the formidable word Forbidden.
I hd no trouble accessing phpmyadmin before in my previous attempts be fore the crash.
I have followed the steps suggested in a previous post on this forum in this matter but the results are the same.
Incidentally, I do not know how to reset mysql password.

after installing wamp server we are getting an error saying HTTP403 forbidden and unable to open php file which is created in notepad with an extension of .php. Please suggest for the above.

I have a similar issue. I have no trouble with opening the local host but im not permitted to acces myphpadmin.
please help
