::1 access ?

Hello everyone,
I installed WAMP today and I had some trouble with the permissions for my WAMP Homepage etc. when I would enter localhost in the url. I found out that if I wrote 127.0.0.1 , it would work.
So I went in my windows hosts file and found out ::1 localhost, which seemed to be the problem since it would work fine when I removed it... Which I should not do. So I added a Allow from ::1 in my httpd.conf file and now, it works fine.
However, I am somewhat scared about the side-effect this might have later on. Anyone could explain to me how this will affect my server ?

Why should u not remove it from the file?
