WampServer

It was working for a few days and now doesn't. even though the status says online, localhost bring up a page not found.

Also the download page on the English homepage has one of the lines in French instead of english

"WARNING : Vous devez avoir installé Visual Studio 2012 : VC 11 vcredist_x64/86.exe

RE: The French, I have asked for that to be changed but no luck so far.

It basically means you need the VS2012 C/C++ runtime installed to run WAMPServer 2.5

The Online Status is also a bit misleading for beginners. It actually only means that you have the httpd.conf file set to allow access from any ip address in the universe. It does not means that Apache/MySQL is running.

Can I sugest that you read and answer the questions on this post READ AND ANSWER BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION

There are some simple troubleshooting tips on there as well that may lead you to finding your own solution.

It was working before, so it's not the VS2012 C/C++ runtime. I read the FAQ and still no go.

So lets start by getting you to answer these question and go through the basic troubleshooting suggestions in this post [forum.wampserver.com]

the error is "This page can't be displayed" in IE10. For both Apache and PHPMyAdmin

Are there any errors in the apache-error.log or the php-error.log or the MySQL error log or the Windows Event Viewer?


The HOSTS file should contain AT LEAST these 2 lines as well as all that adobe stuff

wampmanager -> Apache -> Version -> 2.4.9 ( Click on the 2.4.9 menu )

This will cause the SYMLINKS to be recreated and the missing file will be correctly registered.

Although the server shows online, localhost or 127.0.0.1 are not working; only a blank page appears

Wampserver 2.5 64 bits
Apache: 2.4.9
PHP: 5.5.12
MySQL: 5.6.17

Color: Orange (says online)

Apache error log, MySQL error log and PHP error log: all empty

Windows eventvwr: Does not show any name Appache Srevice or MySQL

hosts shows:
127.0.0.1 localhost
