WampServer

Ok laptop crashed last week and so I bought a new one. I have the old hard drive out and can connect it with usb to my new pc. I first thought I could just download and install a new WAMP server on my new pc, then just copy over my web files AND databases from my old hd. So when I FIRST installed the new WAMP server version 2.2 I could open localhost AND phpmyadmin as well. Of course none of my old databases were there. So I tried just copying them over. That didnt seem to work. So then I tried uninstalling the new wamp and just copying the WHOLE WAMP folder from my old hd to my new one. I could then open localhost again, but phpmyadmin was throwing a login/password error.

I tried several times to reset my password using cmd, but I guess I didnt get the right directory or right command. Either way nothing works!

So, I uninstalled all wamp from my new hd, deleted the folder, emptied the trashcan and rebooted. Reinstalled the New WAMP 2.2 again, and again phpmyadmin wont load. God cant someone make WAMP installations EASIER??

I guess all i need to do is reset my password? Again, not having any luck with this. Would appreciate some help and thanks in advance!

Wamp is easier.

its something with you pc that is the issue

By easy I meant when installing WAMP and trying to get old data to work correctly.
