Hi, Thanks for the response. I followed the same steps that you and steve have in your guides. Not much luck yet. Here are my config information -
- I am using WAMPServer 2.0. wamp is online.
- This is my ipconfig -
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.3
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1
- I have more than 1 pc connected to the router. Hence created static ip (192.168.2.3) for the pc in which I have wamp.
- Using Belkin router, port fowarding from 8080 to 80. Default port # 80 was either blocked per canyouseeme.org. Here is the port forwarding info
Enable Description Inbound port Type Private IP address Private port
Photo 8080 8080 TCP 192.168.2.3 80 80
- Restarted router, pc after making this change.
- Tested using canyouseeme.org for port 8080. It displays message "I can see your service on 68.82.152.238 on port (8080). Your ISP is not blocking port 8080"
- Disabled xp firewall.
- Temp disabled NIS personal firewall for testing.
- Tested [
68.82.152.238] from firefox 3. I get the message "Failed to Connect". If I dont specify the port8080, it takes me to the router home page.
Couldnt figure out what I am missing
