Error logging in to phpMyAdmin

I just installed SnagIt, and now I can't log in to phpMyAdmin. It gives me this error:
Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly.
Help! How do I fix this?
