WampServer

Dear Forum, I just installed WampServer & when I clicked on Localhost for the 1st time, it opens a new Internet Explorer browser window with a Windows security login dialogue box asking for my username & password.

When I enter my normal PC login details, it doesnt like this and after 3 attempts fails to login, saying:
'You are not authorized to view this page.' Does this mean that I can proceed no further?

I am obviously missing something very simple here. Please can anyone help?

Sound like you have htaccess file w/ password required in folder www
