How to change the "index of:" page easily with basic html

Hello everyone,
While most people may not know it, it is extremely easy to change the "index of:" page that loads up when you go to [localhost]. All that you have to do is add a file in C://wamp/www/ (or C://Program Files/wamp/www/) called "index.html". You can then customize that file to your liking with links, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
This should work for most people, and it is much easier than editing all of the Apache files (if you know basic HTML).
