General problem getting PHP to work.

I don't imagine this is a WAMP problem, but I hope someone has had this and can help me. I installed WAMP a few days ago, and it worked fine, I have been doing the instructions from that one educational site (I didn't want to say it and be in trouble for spamming or something) I didn't use it for a few days, but when I tried to use it today, it starts fine, the tray icon turns green, I can type a localhost and it goes there, even click on item there and it they work fine, but my problem is when I try to use any PHP I have created I just get a blank browser as a response. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be the cause. I don't get any errors in the installation or anything.

Make sure your PHP files do not contain hidden .txt extension

Also, in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

I don't think there should be a need to mod the host file. But if you are going to follow yfastud advice, I would make a backup of the host file first.
