Can the SourceForge .exe be trusted?

Source forge has been taken over by a company who is injecting malware the installers you download from there. This currently affects FileZilla, and Gimp has already moved away because of this.

Does anyone know if Wamp's .exe file is still safe?

PS: Saying "no" to the various choices offered by SourceForge's malicious installer will not prevent you from getting malware.

I dont believe that the WAMPServer installer is using any installer/wrapper so all you get is the vanilla WAMPServer.

I just downloaded and ran it, nothing unusual.

Thanks. It seemed safe indeed, so now it's installed. (Wamp is great!)

But at some point, I think a more trustworthy hosting solution will have to be chosen.
