Hello All,
I recently uninstalled WAMP from my C drive and reinstalled it in my D drive. I use Wordpress in Localhost. I copied all the files from old www folder to new www. Now site is not working. It is displaying "Error Establishing Database Connection". I didnt understand what to do. Please help me with some solutions.

Regards,
Trivikram.

Did you export the databases? Before you uninstalled???

Otherwise your site is gone,

Maybe you still have on old location if you didn't delete the wamp folder after the uninstall

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. I didn't exported my DB before Uninstall. But I got it from a backup copy. DB tables and data is fine now. Now is there any way to get my site back to work normally ????

Well import them in mysql: phpmyadmin and make sure the user and password exist otherwise it won't connect to mysql

Thanks Again Steve,
I created user names(Privileges) in PHPMYADMIN. Now the problem is Home page loading properly. But When I click the links or menus, It displays 404 Page not found error.

Regards,
Trivikram.

Can you post the URL of the homepage and the URL of the page not found so we can see the difference

Hi Steve,
I am Sorry. I am working on a Local Machine(localhost). I think I have to change some settings in PHP.ini file for some permissions.

No, it's not as you thought but WP use absolute URL so make sure you setup the name and path of folder exactly like before

Next time, use this guide to move WP
