WampServer

The following Software is installed

- Windows 8.1 64bit (including all updates)
- Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x84/x64)
- Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x84/x64)
- Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x84/x64)
- Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x84/x64)

- WAMP Server 2.5



It seems that the Apache Server is not starting. Tray Icon is yellow.

"Wamp Manager -> Apache -> Start / Stop / Restart" are grey...




I already have done the following steps:

- Checked the apache log / File not found/empty
- Checked the eventmanager / MYSQL runs without problems
- Checked the http.conf syntax / Syntax OK
- Checked Port "80" / Port 80 is not actually used

Problem fixed...

The Installation of the "service" failed. Reinstalling apache as a service fixed the problem.

Same problem with me, but testing port 80 from;
wampserver tray icon - Apache - Service - test Port 80
gave me a clue; just closed down Skype and Wampserver starts normaly here
