WampServer

Hello,

I recently downloaded WampServer Version 2.1 onto my work laptop. Initial testing proved that everything was working just fine. The IT department then revoked my admin rights (needed to do the download) and I didnt do any additoinal testing.

Today I find that I cannot connect to my localhost (or IP 127.0.0.1). I get an IE error: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

I have restarted etc but no change. Host file is uncommented for the IP.

One point of interest is the the WampServer Tray ICON is red and never changes (Online / Offline etc). It seems to be loading too fast as though its not doing anything. I suspect there is a problem with the initialisation. (If i recall correctly, the WampServer icon should be a different colour during the initialisation.)

Any help appreciated.

So get them to set this up in services.msc
