session_start() slow with only 1 connection opened

Hi.
I really appreciate the effort put into wampserver.
However, when my app calls session_start through an ajax call, i experience a 5-second delay for session_start(). Putting the session files on a ramdisk has no effect.
It's not a fatal bug, but it is annoying.
Under ubuntu-linux this problem does not exist.
I'm willing to provide more details if necessary.
