Pre-configure Install index.php? Possible?

I'm developing php software that runs on WAMP and am wondering if there is any way that I can make a modified version of the wamp installer, that has a different index.php to the one that's bundled with it?

Is this at all feasible?

Brilliant! Thanks so much. I'm working through your instructions on the link and have successfully extracted the files and am working on compiling it.

Thanks again!

Experiencers like some of us, including Steve, recompile wamp is like having fun, but it's NOT simple for people that never did it; thus, easier method is download the portable wamp version, replace with own index.php or you can even install your own script or free script such as Wordpress, Joomla..., modified the script as needed, zip it and distribute it winking smiley

Ah yes, that would be the other option. But I'll work on the re-compiling of it. That suites what I need far better.

I've just re-compiled it successfully with php 5.2.11, with some extensions enabled, I" removed phpmyadmin, sqlbuddy, and webgrind and it all re-compiled fine. I went through the iss script carefully and edited a few things like the php version and commented out the references to the apps I didn't want.

I try and install the compiled exe it goes through the installation okay, but then when the program launches for the first time, the icon won't get past the orange stage (1 service running) and the context menu won't come up onclick. So I guess I've done something wrong.

I'm just going to keep fiddling until I get it to work!

So I guess I've done something wrong.
As mentioned, it's NOT simple as you thought; the good thing is you will definitely learn a thing or 2 if, of course if, you have a lot of free time to waste; on the other hand, w/ portable version, you still able to uninstall what you don't need, enable/disable extensions... I mean you would do anything and everything you want before redistribute it but you don't have to go through the hassle to recompile wamp winking smiley
