WampServer

Hi guys, strange issue for me, thank u in advance for any ideas.

I am running 2.0i, on Win 2003 & all has been ok for a long time now. suddenly the sites are down, wampapache service not running..trying to start the service gives "windows could not start the wampapache on Local Computer.....error code 1". i struggled around without success...

with the above windows error, apache error log shows " (OS5) access denied. httpd.exe could not open error log...(path to one of the sites...error.log. unable to open logs

i back up everything every time & then (i have not been long in the bussines). So replaced files(httpf & vhost) which were working yesterday, same thing. i then replaced httpd with the one from the folder "original" meaning without my old tweaking. The services started,... but geting "Forbidden..You don't have permission to access / on this server." in the browser and "client denied by server configuration: E:/wamp/www" in apache logs. i could not figure out the access permissions. i compared and everything was almost same as my old httpd:...

i discovered at last that , with my old httpd the services are only starting when I comment out "Virtual hosts" line in httpd. i have document folders on 2 partitions and everything used to work perfect.

i apologise for writing an essay,.. i know if i was experienced..i would have explained better.
