Hi,

Firstly many thanks for such a wonderful script.

Now, I was using the 2.0 version for a while and it was fine with everything now I am trying Joomla and also updated to 2.1e.

There were some strange things happening and many in the joomla forum say that WS and the latest mySQL are not compatible or do not work that is why joomla 1.5 will not install. It seems Joomla 1.6 does install on WS.

I have tried doing several things with 2.1e like going back to php. 5.2 and the earlier mySQL however I am so confused now I am not sure where I am at and it still does not work with 1.5 joomla.

What do you suggest please. I am sure it is not just WS however maybe the new mySQL is not compatible to Joomla 1.5

I would like to have the latest version on WS so couild you pleasae suggest the best way for me to go. I use XP.

The latest version of MySQL no longer supports

TYPE=MyISAM
rather it uses
ENGINE=MyISAM

Modify the joomla.sql file in the "installation" folder and replace TYPE with ENGINE.

But make sure to setup DB account first
To setup DB account, follow this

To setup Joomla, follow this
[blog.jlbn.net]
