Hey folks,

A fresh install of WAMP 2.1 on Win 7 (though older versions were installed and removed in the past)

Apache starts OK, but I can't get the mysql service to start

InnoDB: The InnoDB memory heap is disabled
InnoDB: Mutexes and rw_locks use Windows interlocked functions
InnoDB: Compressed tables use zlib 1.2.3
110204 11:48:00 InnoDB: Error: unable to create temporary file; errno: 2
110204 11:48:00 [ERROR] Plugin 'InnoDB' init function returned error.
110204 11:48:00 [ERROR] Plugin 'InnoDB' registration as a STORAGE ENGINE failed.
110204 11:48:00 [ERROR] wampmysqld: unknown variable 'default-character-set=utf8'
110204 11:48:00 [ERROR] Aborting

110204 11:48:00 [Note] wampmysqld: Shutdown complete

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you try to go to Services Manager to manually terminate MySQL service then restart Wamp?
