WampServer

Hi guys,

I have used old wamp server years ago without problem. Changed job and stopped using it.
Now I tryed to setup an intranet using this new version and I can't access server from any machine on my LAN. I always get the 403 error:

On local machine everything is ok. I've setup a virtual host (C:\wamp\www\intranet) where I installed Joomla CMS and its working ok. But not from any other machine.

I have already followed instruction from this thread (http://forum.wampserver.com/read.php?2,128349) without success.

I don't know if its important but the local machine where wamp server is installed is a virtual machine loaded under VMWARE and its working ok on my LAN, and I access it via remote desktop.

Hi Vizibekli

If you want this VHOST to be visible from your LAN then you have to tell apache that it is allowed to accept connections from that LAN. Your current config says it is only allowed to accept connections from the machine it is running on.

So add the LAN ip address to the list of allowed ip's, so assuming you are on a subnet 10.1.1.??? add that subnet to the list like so, or any number of subnets

Note the use of only the first 3 of the 4 quartiles of an IPV4 ip address will allow any ip in that range.
You can also use IPV6 address's if you are on a IPV6 network.

I did what you asked but without success. I still receive the Forbidden error.
I'm reading the manual you linked, but as I'm not a tech expert, it will take some time to understand all of it.

Now my VHOST is like this:

In your httpd.conf, you have somehow merged 2 lines so your includes of conf/extra/httpd-vhost.conf file is now inside a commented line

Unfortunately that was not the problem. My httpd.conf is as below and I still get the Forbidden error.

The forbidden error occured since wamp fresh install, before seting up virtual hosts or anything else. Since wamp install I could only access it local, but not from my LAN. I doesn't matter if virtual host or not.
