WampServer

on wamp install, when i click on "install" i get the message:

Access is denied.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel isntallation.


What's the problem?

There is the error in an image:

I am not sure about this one.

I assume you are trying to install WampServer into C:\wamp and if not that would be a better idea than putting it in the 'Program Files' folder.

Nope.. C:\wamp doesn't help

Have you previously tried to install Apache/MySQL or PHP manually?

What do you mean by Manually? I installed wamp from wampserver's site with the installation exe

By manually. I mean, did you try to

install Apache from the Apache site?
install MySQL from the MySQL site?
install PHP from the PHP site?

If you did, make sure you have completely uninstalled those attempted installs before trying to install WAMPServer.

Nope. I installed wamp from official wampserver site with the correct XYbit software..
What else could it be then?

Yes, but what I ment was, did you try installing another way before installing WAMPServer.

The reson I sak is if you did, you have to make sure you have uninstalled you rither attempts as sometimes these other installs can leave bits of themselves on your system that can cause confusion.
