WampServer

Hi,

I was prompted in a forum to install Wamp (http://www.wordpress-fr.net/). I did just that today following a tuto (http://codeblogueur.com/installer-wordpress-en-local-sur-son-pc-avec-wamp/). After waiting 15 minutes for the red light to become green with Skype turned off, I decided to restart the computer. The WampManager icon had disapeared.

I don't know what to do ? Uninstall and Re install ? Try opening directly something in the progarm ?

Please help and Best regards

Version of Wamp Server installed? - Today's downloadable Version 32bit
Version of Apache you are running? Not running yet
Version of MySQL you are running? Not running yet
Version of PHP you are running? Not running yet

WampManager icon has disapeared

HOSTS file [c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts lmhosts.sam networks protocol services]
Paste any entries relating to the domain localhost and also any relating to your Virtual Hosts if you have any.

You should have an icon on your desktop called WampServer

or in your

Start menu -> All Programs -> WAMPServer -> Start WampServer.

You might be right : am I sure that web development is for me ?

I am, as you guessed well, beginning to try and put up a WordPress site.

The app is not starting, otherwise I wouldn't be here whining ... I did get an error message the first time I tried to launch it. But I can't post on this extremely small forum
The error doesn't even trigger off any more ?

Forgive my French speaking computer, in English : "invalid name of directory"

Please help me make this work

- Vérifications à faire : [forum.wampserver.com] et commencez par effectuer totalement le point N°20
- Wampserver 2.5 - Page d'accueil, menu Vos Projets et le besoin de VirtualHost
- Pourquoi faut-il créer un VirtualHost AVANT d'installer un CMS
