My php server is not working...

Hello,
I have installed the wamp server on my pc. I use win xp sp3. The apache server started.
The interpreter recognize just the html code and none of the php code from my php files in the localhost directory...
Give me an advice, please!

Left click wamp icon> php> settings> short open tag
