WampServer

Prestashop recommends Wamp for testing learning on one's PC.

I have made numerous installs of Wamp and Prestashop but cannot get the prestashop graphics, images or any product pictures to show.

I presume it is a wamp setting problem as the images are in a prestashop directory, they just do not display.

Can you help?

I am not particularly IT/web literate

what color of your wamp tray icon? must be all white, no yellow or red; also has to setup db account to install Prestashop

The icon in the task bar starts witha red box in the LH corner but goes clear in a second or two.

I have set up a database which I presume is ok as the prestashop install allows me to continue.

It is the prestashop images and graphics that are no displaying - I have not got as far as adding any products yet.

I just presume there is some setting in wamp that is not set up correctly.

Any further suggestions appreciated

maybe it needs the gd library?

left click wamp>php>extetions>gd2 dll

This is mentioned in the prestashop install and it seems to be set to be functional.
but will check again - in the meantime

Hi

I seem to have cracked the problem with a lot of trial and error

There seems to be a problem with WAMP and the latest version of MOZILLA/FIREFOX

Tried Wamp/prestashop with an older version of mozilla and all worked.

Reloaded Wamp with IE as the default browser and everything works again - albeit not as slickly as with Mozilla.

Hope this might help anyone else.
