WampServer

I have entered date data in a table I created in this format dd/mm/yyyy but when I select * from said table the date is coming out in this format yyyy-mm-dd how can I fix/edit this so it comes out as dd/mm/yyyy? Its for an assignment due tomorrow so I need help ASAP. Thank you in advance
