Hi,

Can you install the latest version of WAMP on a Windows Server?

If this is possible which version is recommended 2008, 2008 R2 or 2012?

Thanks

Joe

I would of course suggest the latest version 2.5 unless you want very old versions of Apache, PHP or MySQL for some compatibility reason.

Minimum system requriements for WAMPServer 2.5 are :
Windows 7 SP1 ,
Windows 8/8.1 ,
Windows Vista SP2 ,
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 ,
Windows Server 2012/R2.

I cannot possibly answer that as I have never used wdp.

Your original question:

Can you install the latest version of WAMP on a Windows Server?
If this is possible which version is recommended 2008, 2008 R2 or 2012?

Answer:
You can install WampServer on :-

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012/R2, NOT 2008.

The only reason for any limitation is that the recent versions of Apache/MySQL and PHP are compiled with VC2012(VC11) and the microsoft runtime for VC11 will not run on some older Windows Versions, its not a WAMPServer limitation but a microsoft one.
