Local host page only works in google chrome

I am having problems viewing the local host page in IE or in mozilla firefox.
I have run all the spyware and virus scans I can find but I am still not having any luck
The scan's only found one or two objects anyway
The localhost page opens fine in google chrome but only in google chrome
I tested port 80 and it does show that Apache/2.2.11 is running on it
I am not using skype
Any help you can give me would be great!
