WampServer

my server already has a custom made distribution of mysql server installed (MySQL Server 4.1) which works with our program,

is it possible to install wamp without the mysql ?

the data in my database is so sensitive that I dont want take the risk of anything happening to it.

well you should first back up that data by exporting into sql file... you can install wamp.. then on the menu.. left click > mysql> uninstall service...


then delete the folder c:/wamp/bin/mysql/



Note that your wamp server icon may always be yellow cos its mysql is not running.. but your program can still connect to your mysql database if its running on localhost (3306)
