after moving www and databases to other pc: can't login to wordpress

Hello there,

i found helpful info in the forum and copied content of www dir of my old windows 7 install into www dir of my new windows 7.

i then created on the new machine all the databases manually and imported the backup sql into each one.

now, when i try to log into wordpress, i can reach the login screen via "localhost/project/wp-login.php" like on my old machine. but there is only text displayed, no grey background or wordpress logo as usual. then when logging in it wants to redirect to "[project]; and gives me an error.

i notice that he tries to strip / delete the "localhost" part, but i don't know what i might have done wrong.

your help would be much appreciated, merci.

There is a French site if you prefer to use the French language. [forum.wampserver.com]

This appears to be a WordPress issue that is not related to WAMPServer but only the problems of copying Wordpress sites from host to host.

If you are using Wordpress you shoudl always create a Virtual Hosts to house the installation it makes the process of copying WP so much easier.
