how to correctly add a new extension

Hi!

I added the eAccelerator extension manually by editing php.ini. Wamp couldn't start so I changed eA version. Actually I was struggling with it for some time. Now it works but I have in tray two instances, but none of them is ticked as currently working. phpinfo() shows me that eA is working. So how could I correctly install new extension?
How can I get rid of those two eA instances from tray?

regards
Tomek

You are right I wrote it too fast.

I use PHP 5.3.1, Apache 2.2.14 and MySql 5.1.41.

When I removed eA from php.ini, wampmanager.ini and removed dll file from ext directory then I had no eA in wamp.
Then I copied dll to ext directory and restarted wamp. I had only one instance of eA in wapmmanager. When I added eA configuration to php.ini and reatarted again then I saw two instances of eA in wapmmanager.

What I did wrong?

I don't understand why I see in wampmanager.ini eA attached to PHP 5.3.0 while I copyied dll to PHP 5.3.1.
