WampServer

I am trying to download Wamp 32 but getting error message.

FOR WAMP 32bit

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) [www.microsoft.com]
And then also this one which applies a security update to the version above
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update [www.microsoft.com]
Press the Download button and on the following screen select vcredist_x86.exe

I have downloaded the above but its still the same

do I have to do anything else?

Windows is Window 8.1 on a asus laptop.
32 bit x64based processor


error message is MSVCR110.dll missing from computer. recommends re installing

I have downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) and the security package too.

The wampserver I am trying to install is

wampserver (32 bits and PHP 5.5) 2.5

I have tried several times - uninstalling - checking internet downloading the above and reinstalling. It is on desktop now but still wont run - same error message MSVCR110.dll

Will I have to download something else to get it to work or just change something? Does it need reinstalling again.

I might have done it - ive downloaded the windows visual for 2.5.

I can now click on the wampserver icon and there's no error message - but nothing else happens - is that right?

Hi,

The launch of WampServer (c:\wamp\wampmanager.exe) creates an icon in the notification area of the desktop.
If this icon does not appear, look in the properties of the notification area: click on the double vertical ^ and choose Personalize, then for Wampmanager icon choose See icon and notification.
Note: I'm not sure of the names of options, my Windows is not in English.
