Resetting forgotten password for localhost and getting errors

Hi there

I installed WAMP in January, and had a few problems when I installed it (which was sorted out by Steven Martin) and have not really played with it much since then. Unfortunately i also set a password for localhost and now i have forgotten it.

Thinking i could delete the password by reinstalling WAMP, i uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Obviously it has not helped, and now i have an icon in my tray with a red section and it keeps on giving me errors when i try to put online/offline.

I have been trying to fix this for a while now and tried to reset the password, but i have started pulling my hair out now.

Please can you help
Debbie

There is no password on wamp localhost.

It can be xampp installation or IIS (webserver incorporate in windows functionnalities) and ask you for a password.
Note that if wampserver icon is red, none of wamp services are running.
This may happen when another webservice is running.

Sometimes test port 80 functionnality (in apache service submenu) help you to sort this problem...
