Phpmyadmin screen loads black

Hi,

I just downlaoded wampserver yesterday and got the main screen to come up after disabling my firewall. however I can not load PHPmyadmin; clicking on it just loads a blank page. Any idea what causes this?

did you clear browser cache and try again?

Yes unfortunately this did not alleviate the problem.

I should also mention that the blank page does not just load instantly. In the title bar I can see "loading" for a good 10-20 seconds. Then it just gives out.

temporary disable firewall/antivirus will not help but you have to uninstall both wamp and firewall/antivirus, remove wamp folder, restart wamp, then reinstall firewall/antivirus after and while wamp running

I do not believe the firewall is causing a problem because the firewall program is completely shut off. So there is no way for it to interfere.

so you think when you complete shut off your firewall, it will reverse any and all settings it's already set??? theory, it should be but reality, I guess not; however, if uninstall, it will sure remove all settings it created including in registries
