WampServer

Trying to set up a local server for the first time using wamp but when completed, the wampserver menu comes up fine but when I select the phpadmin prompt get the error below. I'm just starting out and could use some help resloving this error message. Thanks

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

seems you had or currently have mysql, so you have to uninstall it, search and remove/rename file my.ini outside wamp folder, restart pc, restart wamp
