DocumentRoot on network drive?

Does anyone know if I can set my document root to use a network drive?

I'm running wamp 2.0 with Apache 2.2.11 on Windows XP SP3.

When I set my document root to be on network drive I get

"The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> Syntax error on line 178 of C:/wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.11/conf/httpd.conf: ."

In my Event Log and Apache refuses to start.

Thanks

no you cannot use a network drive. there is no notation to specify a network drive in the httpd.conf
