Howdy, I'm trying to test out articledashboard from my apache (localhost).
Before I can install it I need to:

Step #1.
-----------------------------------------------
Give Write Mode (CHMOD 777) to the Following Files:
-----------------------------------------------

a. admintemplates (Directory and its files)
b. emailtemplates (Directory and its files)
c. templates (Directory and its files)
d. photoimages(directory and its files).
e. setup.php

I know how to do that on my hosted webserver,
but I have no clue how to do it on my local machine (wamp2).

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanx

u cant on windows. so just skip it.

if it doesnt work - check the files are not set to read only. right click> properties> untick readonly

Hey thanks brother,

I'm trying to install/test this articledashboard thing so I dragged all it's files from C://downloads, into the wamp/www directory. I unticked the ""read-only" boxes as you instructed. Then I restarted wamp and when I checked, all the "read-only"" boxes were checked again. If it matters, the read-only boxes are light grey as if they're inactive, but I was able to uncheck them, but it won't stay that way.

Hey thanks for the effort fellas. btw, I had tried to ignore it, but still wasn't able to install, that's why I attempted mr. martin's idea to untick read-only.

As it turns out, the problem is with the articledashboard script, as I've since been able to install other similar items with no trouble and also found many discussions online about problems installing that articledashboard script.

Thanks for the effort though and sorry for wasting your time.
