WampServer

Please, has anyone been able to get apache2.2 to work correctly on widows xp (64-bit) ? I installed wampserver 2.0i and 2.0h correctly but when i attempt to load localhost on any browser the status bar shows "connecting to localhost" but never quite connects. Any heads up on how to tackle this?

Wamp is runnin fine. It indicates that all the services are running quite alright and they are! Because if you check in the windows services manager you will see that the apache, mysql services are running.

Can you explain why you had two logs? 32 bit and 64 bit?

problem is not in os 32 or 64 so make sure no other program conflict wamp such as iis, skype, zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, nod32, eset, any web related program ...

I have checked this already and wamp does report that port 80 (which is the main source of conflict most times) is free but not occupied by apache nonetheless! I have thoroughly checked my anti-virus to see if it is blocking wamp or this port, nothing of the sort; checked for MySQL and Apache service they were not blocked as far as i can tell, as well.
