Localhost showing webpage that doesn't exist in www

I uploaded my web page to the "www" folder and brought it up. I had an incorrect link on index, so went back, fixed it, and recopied all files to "www".
When I navigated to "localhost" in my browser, it brought up the first version of the page (with the incorrect link).
Now no matter what I do, localhost shows that page. I deleted all files from "www", and even went so far as to go to my actual web server and take all the files off of there. localhost is still showing that one webpage.
How is this possible? Anyone have any ideas or insights? Thanks for the help!

ur browser is setup wrong... clear the history and set it to refresh it everytime
