PHP execution on localhost (Newb warning)

I've installed WAMP and have a database set up. Trying to connect to database from a php script but when the html form runs and calls the script, Windows prompts me to open the php file as if it's a text file?

Any help appreciated...

make sure you don't save file w/ hidden .txt extension
