Wamp server never goes online

Hi there:

I installed WAMP on my Windows Vista 64bit machine. I have a yellow icon in my system tray that says I am offline. When I go to Start WAMP, I briefly get a second similar icon and then it goes away. The one remaining says it is still offline. I would appreciate any help or suggestions to get this working.

online offline is somehting else


you need to get the icon white first...


maybe u have skype or other apps installed

make sure no other program conflict wamp such as iis, skype, zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, nod32, eset, any web related program ...

Also, open file hosts in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc and make sure you have only this line and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost
