Problem installing Wamp on Windows XP 64bit SP2

Hallo, I'm beginner in joomla and I have problem installing wamp.
My PC is running Windows XP SP2 64 bit. I installed the following:
wampserver version 2
Apache 2.2.11
MySQL 5.1.36
PHP 5.3.0.
When I'm trying to connect to localhost, it's impossible. It shows that is trying to connect but it never connects...
After searching on the internet I tried to turn off Skype, firewall and antivirus, delete cookies and to change the port number, but nothing happened.
Is anybody that can help me please?
I think that my problem may arise from the 64 bit windows version. Any idea on that?

make sure no other program conflict wamp such as iis, skype, zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, nod32, eset, any web related program ...
