How to block my pre-production web page

Hello all, thanks for reading my newbie post. My web page runs on my local PC; I want to allow it to be able to access the "outside world." For example, I want to create a hyperlink pointing to a youtube video, or even embed the video on my webpage like I see a lot of folks doing nowadays. However, at this point, I don't want my web page to be accessible from someone on the outside. I'm behind a DLink Dir-625 router, and I set up the standard security settings on my router. Whenever I access the WAMPSERVER, the little taskbar icon always says "WAMPSERVER - server Offline." Am I okay, or have I missed some steps? Thanks again for your help. smiling smiley
