help with resolving ip on localhost

Hello i would like some help when running wamp if i input "localhost" into the address bar then i have problems connecting but if i add127.0.0.1 to the address bar then it loads the index page and works fine, how do i go about getting the ip resolved (if that is the problem)? Any help welcome! thanks.

open c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

open it in notepad

delete

:localhost

and save


you may need to drag the file to desktop- edit - move back
