<? is not working in wamp

i have xampp at work and wamp at home.
the <? sign is working in xampp ,but not in wamp. it's not parsed through php, it outputs directly as html. so i cannot work at home with those projects. and don't tell me to replace <? with <?php, because i didn't made those projects.

you could still replace them
... anyway left click wamp icon> php>php settings> short_open_tags
