Version of Operating system

Windows 7

Version

WAMP 2.5

Apache : 2.4.9 MySQL : 5.6.17 PHP : 5.5.12 PHPMyAdmin : 4.1.14 SqlBuddy : 1.3.3 XDebug : 2.2.5

What colour is your WampManager icon? ( the in the system tray )

Orange

Do you have a HOSTS file? [c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts]

Yes

I had tried to install Apache before on my own to create a server then I stumbled upon WAMP and decided to go with it.

I uninstalled Apache version 2.2 and 2.0. Both versions were installd before.

Now after uninstalling everything and installing WAMP, the WAMP icon is orange and Apache is not running. MySQL is running.

Please help me resolve this problem.

Thanks!

Please check that the other installations of Apache are properly removed i.e. not just deleted!!

Then check the windows folder and below for httpd.conf file, if found delete them.
