WampServer

I cant connect with my postgres database because he says that the function is unknown. I highlighted the pg_sql extension in the wamp tray but it isnt enabled at my localhost overview.

I just copied the dll files from php 5.2.5 but without result. I still dont know what is wrong. Someone who can help me with this issue?

enable extensions only will NOT work unless you've already installed postgressql

I have already installed Postgresql but i receive the error that he cannot load the functie. In my overview from WAMP i see that the extension is not loaded and the error logs says:

I already upgraded everything but i cannot find the problem.

Nobody with a solution or something?

I still haven't found a solution to it. I lately tried to install WampServer 2.0i/PHP 5.3.0 on a fresh WinXP with Postgres 8.4 installed. Same thing. So i'm stuck developing and testing with 5.2.5.

Yeah well same to me.. Although im working on Windows 7 at the moment but it looks like that isnt the problem.

Replacing Wamp Server PHP 5.2.9-2 php_pgsql.dll and php_pdo_pgsql.dll files with those from the second link in the page below seems to fix my problem. I didn't test it with any other version though.

Hopefully this can be fixed in a later build of PHP 5.3.0.

The solution I posted only works with 5.2.9, 5.2.9-1 and 5.2.9-2. Not 5.3.0. Sorry guys. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next Wamp release.

After searching for long, I found a sollution that works with PHP v5.3.0


Search for the file libpq.dll in "C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0" and copy it to WINDOWS\system32 if you're using WindowsXP. Thats all there is to it.

This apparently does not work with Windows Vista
