I check my port 80 and its not used.

I run services.msc and try to start wamapache and wampmysqld but I got the message that it couldnt be start on my local computer Error 5 : Access denied.

any idea where to check next?

thanks

if so, open file HOSTS in folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc to delete everything and have only this line
127.0.0.1 locahost

Finally after trying a couple of things and not succedeing I decided to uninstall and reinstall wampserver to realize that our security IT had removed my admin right on my machine without telling me. Yeah, dumb of them I know they could have at least told me.

Anyway, they gave me back some of my rights, am now set as Poweruser. So this morning I start wampserver and I now instead of beeing red am yellow.

I still have the same configuration, no skype, port 80 not used and set 127.0.0.1 locahost in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

I run services.msc and its wamapache that I cant start

is it still a rights problem?

thanks

Waht is the message when you try to start wampapache from services panel ?
Is there something in apache error log ?

Try to uninstall apache service by using wamp/uninstall_services.bat when wamp is closed.
Then relaunch wamp and reinstall and start each one from wamp menu.

I probably dont have enough rights because when I tried uninstall_services.bat the access was denied telling me that I need more administrative rights.

in the apache logs I couldnt find any new entry for today but I check my windows evenlog and got :

The wampapache service terminated with service-specific error 1 (0x1).

so? time to contact my security It people
