Hey there,
i was trying to install WAMP today but all i got is a yellow white icon in the tray bar. I know it means that some services are not running.

I got IIS 7 on my machine but i turned it off. Also i got MS SQL 2008. With the "DOS" Command at the Run console :

netstat -a |findstr 3306

I saw that port 3306 is already responsing me. How can i get WAMP started all services ?

Thanks

you both conflict and that's why wamp can't start

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/Win7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, open file hosts in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc and make sure you have only this line and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

also, if susing skype then open skype... tools>options>connection>advanced> untick "use port 80"

also, you need to setup MS SQL to run on different port, too
