Dreamweaver 8 not connecting to localhost

recently installed WAMP. I build dynamic pages with Dreamweaver 8. For some reason, DW8 will not accept the database connection configuration and allow me to connect. I did not have this problem using the stand alone installs of Apache, PHP and MySQL.
I get the following error message when testing the connection:
HTTP Error Code 404 File Not Found. Here are some possibble reasons for the problem:
1) There is no testing server running on the server machine
2) The testing server specified for this site does not map to the "[localhost] URL"
Any suggestions?

What settings do you have in the site config in Dreamweaver? Did you map the site address to the right folder and have the trailing slash at the end?
