Hello Everyone,

This problem is rather funny i have to say, here it goes. I created an Alias going through Apache->Alias Directories->Add an Alias everything went well (or so i thought) when i checked the wampserver icon it was half yellow and offline. When i tried to get it back online it gave me an error message only way of fixing Apache to work again is to reinstall wamp server again completely.

Has anyone else come across this problem at all? If so could you please help me?

Thank you very much in advance for any help cause this is rather puzzling.

Oh and by the way i'm using Windows 7 Build 7100 (could this be a problem? though wamp worked without a hitch up until i tried creating an alias =S)

Anyways hope you guys can figure it out =)

Hi,

We don't know what error message you got..
But, it you tried to put Wamp online and apache service was not started (yellow icon), it's normal.
You should get an error "Could not perform this action [...]"
It you got an error in your httpd.conf or in any alias file (there are included in httpd.conf), then wamp won't start and you won't be able to put wamp online...

Then, if wamp worked before you add an alias, it is not depending of which Windows version you get...
